My name is Tatiana, and I am passionate about helping women feel confident and beautiful through personalised beauty treatments. With experience in eyelash extensions, brow styling and facial care, I focus on delivering high-quality results tailored to each client. At MatyLashes & Beauty, I believe that beauty is not only about appearance but also about how you feel. Initial Planning and Conceptualisation
At first, my website planned on a professional and attractive online presence for my beauty business, MatyLashes & Beauty. I wanted to showcase my services, from eyelash extensions to brows and facial treatments, all while establishing trust with potential clients. I wanted the site to be elegant and feminine and match my brand identity. At this level, I planned the major sections including Home, Services, About and Contact. I also thought of whom my audience, mostly women interested in beauty services, and how to orient the site to be appealing and easy to navigate for them.
Design Decisions and Rationale
Regarding my website design, I decided on a clean and elegant layout to reflect the premium style of my business. I used soft colours such as pink and neutral tones to add a feminine and calming look. I made sure to make the website visually attractive, but simple and easy to use. It featured high-quality images of beauty treatments to make the services more appealing. The typography was also designed to look modern and professional to create a strong brand image. Every part was designed to guide the user clearly to help them easily find information and book services quickly.
Technical Challenges and Solutions
Some of the technical aspects were a challenge for me while I was developing the website and arranging layout and arranging different elements according to the sizes of the screens. One thing that mattered to me was how the website looked across desktop and mobile devices. Structuring the content: the challenge was to ensure it was clear and professional. Some areas were so crowded at first, so I made it a bit more concise and had better spacing between things. Many of them were fixable because Wix features drag and drop, so it was a breeze to tweak layout, to experiment with other designs and I obtained a balanced, professional output.
Tools and Technologies Used
The primary platform I relied upon to build the website was Wix -- it means that I also got to design and build the site myself without need for extensive coding. Wix provides templates, design tools and features that make site creation easy and quick. I also relied on online sources of images and inspiration to develop the website's visuals. And I used some of my basic digital marketing knowledge in order to design the content in a more appealing manner and make it more engaging to people. Among the features of Wix that proved invaluable was its capability to optimize for mobile devices and make editing quick, making the website look professional and fluid, regardless of platform.
Overall Development Process
The entire experience of creating the MatyLashes & Beauty website was a valuable one in this regard. It gave me the opportunity to use my creative and technical abilities to create something representing my business. Along the way, I enhanced my skills in website design, user experience and digital branding. I also learnt the importance of planning, organisation and testing different ideas before finalising the design. But this project made me confident about creating digital content for the public and made me even more interested in marketing and online business. Ultimately, I'd like to continue improving the site by including more features and content to attract more clients.
